Sandstone Formations

Sandstone is easily eroded as shown in these photos taken on Galliano Island. The wave action from the ocean creates pock marks on the rocks and eventually smooths and hollows them out. I found these rock formations really interesting. Sea stars and sea cucumbers where hiding in damp shadowy crevices of these rocks.
