Manitoba Wildflowers – Part 10
// August 11th, 2009 // Boreal Forest, Oak Hammock Marsh, Scenic, Wildflowers
NEW . . . Manitoba Wildflowers gallery is now on-line. It is sorted by colour and when your cursor is placed over the thumbnail the name of the flower/plant will appear.
You can find the page at the menu to the right in the “GALLERIES” section.

I am still finding new wildflowers everywhere I go. The last few trips have been more on the flat prairie and along the banks of the Red River and it is obvious that different plants like different habitats. I am not seeing plants that are familiar to me from the forested areas of the province. The first photo is a Prairie Coneflower.

The photos in today’s blog were all taken at Oak Hammock Marsh.
Enjoy!
