Thank you  for taking the time to browse the Chickadee Photo Art website.  This site is guaranteed safe for viewers of all ages, which,  in today’s world of technology and social networking should be of utmost importance for everyone.  It is my hope that while here you will learn some interesting facts about the birds, animals and forests through photos and small write-ups that are posted.  Students are welcome to use photos and information in projects or assignments but remember, it is correct and polite to request permission to do so using the “Contact Me” form.

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of photo art cards help with the  TNR (Trap, Neuter & Release) or rescue of feral cats which is a cause I deeply care about. I encourage everyone to do their part in helping our city wildlife, by supporting no kill/rescue shelters of your choice in Winnipeg, the Kenora Cat Shelter operated by Celine Alcock in Kenora, Ontario) or wildlife rehabilitation centres in your local area any way you can. If you are familiar with the Canadian Prairies you will know how extreme our winter weather can be. Not all of our animal friends can survive our harsh winter weather. Those who have supported Chickadee Photo Art by means of purchasing photo art cards or prints locally  have already contributed to animal rescue. I thank you for your support.  The Chickadee Photo Art store is now open and cards are available for on-line ordering.

Special thanks to my dear friend, Shannon, who accompanies me on “field trips” and also spends countless hours traveling about with me sometimes under duress. Just ask her about spending 3 hours in a woodtick infested ditch!

As well, thank you to Carole for often providing me with a “home base” in N.W. Ontario that allows me the opportunity to photograph many beautiful birds in their natural habitat.
